Measuring the waist - Please use your best fitting trouser/jean, lay flat on a table, with waist bands parallel. Measurement x 2.

Significance of outseam measurement - this enables the buyer to decide where the garment is to be worn - at waist, below waist or on hips. This, combined with accurate inseam requirement will give us enough information to decide rise and other measurements relating to a selected fit.

Corduroy Fabric
Please select from either 8 wales corduroy (about 320 gsm),
or 14 wales corduroy (about 300 gsm) in 100% cotton. 
If requested, we will use 14 wales stretch corduroy (about 300 gsm)
which is a blend of cotton and spandex. Some more information on Corduroy The width of the cord is commonly referred to as the size of the "wale".
The lower the "wale" number, the thicker the width of the wale
(i.e., 8 -wales is much thicker than 14-wales). 

8 wales = approximately 8 cord lines per inch
14 wales = approximately 14 cord lines per inch

14 wales is finer cord than 8 wales
